CONSULTING AND EXECUTION

Sales and operations consulting.

Brief & Field leads standalone studies of sales, costs and operations; STRJ implements changes and takes on operating responsibilities. The first hour is free. Further work follows an agreed scope and fee.

FOUR PILLARS

What we can take over

Growth and market entry

When it fits

  • picking a country, a segment or a use case
  • entering Central Europe
  • first enterprise customers
  • a distributor, reseller or implementation partner

What we do

  • market and segment prioritisation
  • account and buyer mapping
  • the partner route
  • entry economics and first outreach

What you get

  • a decision on where to enter and where not to
  • a qualified shortlist
  • the argument and an action sequence
  • a 90-day plan or first opportunities

Commercial and customer economics

When it fits

  • revenue grows but contribution does not
  • unclear price, mix or terms
  • customers drop out in activation or retention
  • sales activity is not generating qualified opportunities

What we do

  • price, volume and mix analysis
  • segment economics
  • customer journey and retention diagnostics
  • target customer profile, qualification and CRM handover

What you get

  • a record of where customers or revenue are lost
  • priority segments and accounts
  • concrete changes to price, process or offer
  • a prioritised list of tests, with owners and measures

Operations and transformation

When it fits

  • capacity, time or ownership is being lost
  • new capacity has no sales plan
  • exceptions are handled by hand
  • the change is stuck between departments

What we do

  • process and handoff mapping
  • capacity and unit economics
  • plan against reality
  • managing agreed changes and assessing automation opportunities

What you get

  • the five biggest losses or constraints
  • responsibilities, measures and a review schedule
  • a 30–90 day implementation plan
  • an initial workflow improvement or tool, where included in the brief

Portfolio and owner projects

When it fits

  • an owner needs a hypothesis checked fast
  • a portfolio company needs a baseline
  • after an acquisition the thesis has to become execution
  • a sensitive project has no internal capacity

What we do

  • rapid diligence for a decision, not a legal or financial audit
  • a revenue and integration backlog
  • opportunity sizing
  • implementation coordination and regular reporting

What you get

  • a documented starting position
  • a decision memo
  • a prioritised task list
  • a clear model of who owns the work next

Discuss a brief

HOW IT RUNS

Brief → Analysis → Decision → Implementation

  1. Brief

We pick one important question and the boundaries of the work.

  2. Analysis

We gather data, talk to people, model or test.

  3. Decision

You get a clear conclusion, priorities and the economics.

  4. Implementation

Where needed we start the first step or take over execution.

AND THEN WHAT

What follows the initial project

  1. You implement it yourselves and get a handover — the material, the model and the reasons behind each decision.
  2. We take over a chosen area and keep running it at an agreed rhythm.
  3. We build the tool or automation that turns the decision into daily operation.
  4. If it is a transaction counterparty, the search continues through Origination.

SPECIALISMS

Specialist topics

  • industrial transition and CBAM economics
  • sourcing and landed-cost scenarios
  • deep-tech commercialisation
  • commercial planning for new capacity
  • finding customers and partners in Central Europe

STRJ does not replace legal, tax, customs, audit or other regulated advice. Where it is needed, we work with the client’s own specialist.

Where we have actually worked

The V4 entries distinguish work delivered in a country from analysis of that market.

CZSKHUPL
  • Work delivered here

    Czechia

Home. The registered office, the clients and the daily work. Websites, demand systems, commercial and operational consulting — from a sole trader to a company with its own sales team.

  • Work delivered here

    Slovakia

Van operations run together with Czechia and the work with carriers. Plus a proposal for a Bratislava e-shop, written in English from the start.

  • Work delivered here

    Hungary

Work for the group’s Hungarian arm on the ground in Budapest: mapping operations and damage handling and comparing it with Czechia and Slovakia. Plus a three-month project for MOL petrol stations.

  • Analysed, not delivered

    Poland

The Asahi project compared all four V4 markets, including Poland. This was market analysis; we did not deliver a local engagement in Poland.

BOUNDARIES

Scope and responsibility

  • We do not guarantee that the market will buy or that a counterparty will close.
  • We guarantee the agreed scope, the deadline, the quality of the work and open reporting.
  • You know in advance what is a deliverable and what is out of scope.

QUESTIONS

What you ask most often

Do we need the data ready?

The data does not need to be organised in advance. We can start with existing accounting reports, CRM records, spreadsheets or paper and agree how to prepare an initial overview.

Do you work outside industry?

Yes, including services, e-commerce and software. We adapt the method and measures to the sector and the brief.

Can you continue into implementation?

Yes. We can take over an agreed area of operations or build a tool or automation. The scope of implementation is agreed separately.

Is the first consultation free?

The first hour is free. We discuss one specific task and the available records. Further research, analysis or implementation is paid work, with scope and fee agreed beforehand.

How quickly can we start?

Subject to availability. We confirm the start and completion dates when agreeing the scope.

What belongs to STRJ and what to Origination?

STRJ implements sales processes, automation and company systems. Brief & Field leads standalone research and decision studies. Origination handles capital, valuation and agreed transaction materials.

What do you need to resolve?

Describe one task and the records you have. We will agree the deliverable, timing and fee.
